Frontier Conference League
Team Based League ( Oklahoma & Texas)
The National League is a nationwide league that has 2 divisions.
- Frontier Development League - This league is a CLUB based league.
- Frontier Conference League - This league is a TEAM based league.
Our TEAM based conference that we compete in is called the Frontier Conference League (FCL) and consists of 12 teams (4 from Oklahoma, 4 from North Texas and 4 from South Texas). You have to qualify to participate in the FCL by placing in the top 4 your state league (Oklahoma is OSA, North Texas is NTX Soccer, and South Texas is STX Soccer).
This TEAM based league will have 3 designated weekends where all 12 teams will travel and play one another, so each of the 3 weekends an FCL Team will play 3 games, 2 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday. In addition to these 3 weekends, all 12 of these teams will have the opportunity to participate in the following events:
► National League Showcase Series — Mid-table to bottom table FCL teams will compete in showcases that match up similar teams from varying areas of the country in a national platform. By bringing all of these teams/conferences together, it will attract more college coaches to these showcase events.
► National League Playoffs — The top of the table FCL teams will compete in the National Playoffs. The National Playoffs are played "inside" the National League Showcase Series Events (think of it as "brackets"). The top teams of the National Playoffs will then advance to compete for a USYS National Championship.
